Rivals: Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 vs Micromax Canvas HD A116; Which One To Buy ?

The Smartphone market in India has been growing a lot lately, with the companies coming up with new and better smartphones every few days, and the competition is so huge that every device has something better than the other and it is the end user’s need that has to make a right choice. As we Reported Micromax recently launched their best Micromax Canvas HD A116 with the 5-inch HD display, while Karbonn didn’t sit back, as they came up with the Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 Android phone which has a 4.5-inch screen and a Quad-core processor, but at a price lesser than that of Micromax A116. Let’s see which smartphone is a better option for a good usage and productivity.

 Processor, RAM and Storage

The processor included in both the phones is almost the same, with the 1.2GHz speed Quad-core processor in the Karbonn and Micromax devices, and the Micromax Canvas HD is powered by the Mediatek MT6589 chipset, while that in the Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 is powered by the Snapdragon S4 Play chipset. The multitasking in both the handsets is supported by the 1GB of RAM. The graphics processor in the Micromax phone is POWERVP SERIES5XT GPU, while that in the Karbonn phone is the Adreno 203 GPU and here the Canvas HD is a step ahead of the S1 because it can play the 1080p videos with ease while the S1 cannot play 1080p videos and for those who wanted to have some great multimedia output in their handset, won’t be able to do that if they own this Karbonn S1. The storage in both is the same with 4GB of internal storage included, and this can be expanded to 32GB using a MicroSD card.

 Build, Screen and Display

Well Karbonn S1 is Smaller than Micromax A116, as with those Screen size the phones do look bulky and the white looks great on both the devices but the screen size is quite a lot different and Micromax Canvas HD has got a better screen, with a 5-inch screen having an IPS Display with the HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, while the Smart Titanium 1 from Karbonn has a smaller screen with the 4.5-inch size, but the display too is comparably less in quality with the resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.

Yes, Camera is the Main Difference in the Both Smartphone but Micromax again is a clear winner here, with Canvas HD A116 having the excellent 8-megapixel lens having autofocus and supported by the LED flash, and the Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 has got a 5-megapixel camera with a flash and Autofocus. The video recording in the Micromax rear camera is a 1080p Full HD recording, while that in that of the Karbonn phone is a 720p HD recording. We haven’t had a hands-on with both the devices so the exact comparison of the capturing won’t be possible, but specs-wise the camera of the Micromax A116 is a lot better.

The battery too of the Micromax A116 is a lot better than that of the Karbonn S1, as its the 2100 mAh capacity compared to the 1600 mAh of the latter and this would prove good in providing a longer usage.

Well Pricing Can Create a very Big Difference On The Popularity Of The Both Smartphone, Here, the Only Karbonn takes away the rank in last with the price tag of Rs. 10,999 while the Micromax phone is priced at Rs. 14,999 in the Indian market.
