In Pictures: Rockstar Teases Grand Theft Auto Online

Rockstar Games is about to let gamers everywhere virtually fulfill their longtime ambitions of knocking off liquor stores with their best buddies. Grand Theft Auto is Most Successful Game of Rockstar Production From its Part 1 to 5. Now Rockstar  Comes With Grand Theft Auto were you will be Free To Design your Own Game and play just way you wanted.

Grand Theft Auto Online was briefly teased at the end of the company's previous Grand Theft Auto V trailer, showing dozens of players roaming around the city of Los Santos. Rockstar has previously confirmed that footage for previous trailers has been captured from the PlayStation 3 version of GTA V.

The game could sell as many as 20 million copies before the end of March 2014, according to Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia.

The online title, which launches Oct. 1, allows for up to 16 players (yourself included) to gang up on Los Santos, robbing liquor stores, carrying out elaborate heists, or simply shooting at each other in the desert with giant guns.

In a new trailer for Grand Theft Auto Online, the multiplayer component for its upcoming Grand Theft Auto V game, Rockstar shows how it’s designed a large open city that lets players do almost whatever they want, whether it’s forming gangs with other players to commit crimes, engaging in races and other competitions or even buying apartments that can be used as hideouts. GTA Online will even let users design their own areas where they can invite others to participate in races or shoot-outs.

"Rockstar Games is looking to bring the heart of the Grand Theft Auto experience to a living online world with multiple players," the company said in its official gameplay trailer (below). "Just what you choose to do in that world is up to you."

In Grand Theft Auto Online, you'll have the freedom to explore alone or with friends, work cooperatively to complete missions, band together to participate in activities and ambient events, or compete in traditional game modes with the entire community, all with the personality and refined mechanics of Grand Theft Auto V.

As in any GTA game, players can complete jobs to make money and earn a reputation, then spend petty cash on customizing their character's outfit, weapon of choice, favorite vehicle, and physical embodiment (even play as a woman if you'd like).

"Everything you do helps you progress through the world, introducing you to new characters, new missions, rewards, and almost limitless opportunities," the company said.

GTA Online's "persistent and continually expanding world" will include frequent content updates, though users can always design their own races and death matches using the content creator.

The online mode will hit shelves two weeks after Rockstar's GTA V title, which is expected on Sept. 17 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Gamers can pre-order the title, which comes with a free copy of GTA Online.

Set in the streets of Southern California, Grand Theft Auto V was announced in late October 2011, with a new logo and trailer. Last month, the studio revealed that, for the first time, the game will actually feature three would-be heroes, between whom players can swap for different vantage points.

Grand Theft Auto V will be released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 17. The petition to bring the game to the PC has now passed 200,000 signatures.

GTA Online will be available two weeks after the launch of GTA V, and will be accessible as an extra character on the "Switch Wheel", right next to Franklin, Michael, and Trevor. It won't require a substantial download, just a code.
