Xolo Play Tab with 7inch IPS Screen & Tegra 3 processor launched For Rs 12,999

Xolo today launched first Tegra based tablet, called Xolo Play Tab 7.0 for Rs 12,999. This is Xolo's second tablet after the Xolo Tab which was launched some time back with a quad core Snapdragon processor. Don’t Be confused with the recently announced Xolo Tegra Note tablet, which runs on Tegra 4, comes with a stylus and where updates will come directly from Nvidia to ensure it gets Android OS updates regularly. It is also expected to be launched this month.

The Xolo Play Tab comes with Tegra 3 mobile processor which has four performance core and one battery saving core. To assist in high end gaming, there is a 12-core NVIDIA ULP GeForce graphics processing unit in the tablet. The Play Tab has a 7 inch IPS-LCD display with 1280x800 pixels resolution.

The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor along with 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and sports a 2-megapixel front-facing camera while there is no rear camera on the tablet. The device comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage with support for microSD card, however, no details about maximum expandable storage supported by the tablet.

The Play Tab 7.0 includes a 4000mAh battery that the company claims can deliver up to 8 hours of music playback. Connectivity options on the tablet include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Micro-USB. The Xolo Play Tab 7.0 measures 194.6x122.6x10.6mm and weighs 338 grams. Strangely enough, it doesn't offer 3G connectivity, or voice-calling support. On the connectivity front, there is no cellular connectivity but one does get Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4,0. Xolo Previously has Come Up With Xolo Play Phablet.
