[Update] SuperBike: Hero unveiled HX250R Bike with 31hp Power And All New Xtreme Sports 150cc Bike

The First One in our List Is HX250R (Name subject  to be changed) Hero has unveiled five new models in India. HX250R is one of the model with attractive features from Hero.The features are underseat exhaust,combined braking system,optional ABS and LED lights at both front and rear. The bike has been developed by Hero with the help of EBR and uses Hero’s own developed engine. The 249cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve engine uses liquid-cooling and fuel-injection to produce 31 BHP of power and 26 Nm of torque (81.0 mm x 48.5 mm is bore x stroke). It is coupled to a 6-speed transmission. The exhaust is placed under the seat and the bike weighs just 139 kgs. Its is Completely Different From its sibling Karizma ZMR

The front uses a three piston calliper with 300 mm disc while the rear uses a 200 mm disc (ByBre make). There is combined braking system with optional ABS. The front uses 110/80/17 tyre while the rear uses a 140/70/17 tyre (Pirelli Sport Demon make). The length, width and height of the Hero HX250R is 2085 mm, 735 mm and 1145 mm respectively. The wheelbase is 1370 mm while the ground clearance is 145 mm.

The Hero HX250R uses a geodesic tubular frame with the engine being used as a stress member. The front forks are 37 mm in size. Hero MotoCorp is expected to price this bike very aggressively and we can expect the HX250R to be priced around Rs. 1.5 lakhs. This will put it in direct competition against the soon to be launched Pulsar 200 SS which will be priced lower. The company will launch the Hero HX250R by September 2014.

Hero Xtreme Sports

The Second one in our list is Xtreme Sports. he Hero Xtreme got a mild facelift in the form of the Hero Xtreme Sports. While the basic engine, transmission and design configuration remains the same as the stock Xtreme, the Sports version gets some cosmetic changes.

The bike is powered by a 149.2cc, air-cooled engine, aka the same Honda motor which is now very famous for powering a slew of vehicles. However Hero has updated the power output, the Xtreme Sports outputs 15.2 BHP of power at 8500 RPM and 12.80 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike uses telescopic front forks and 5-step adjustable twin shocks at the rear. Braking duties are performed by a 240 mm disc at the front and 130 mm drum at the rear (220 mm rear disc is optional).

The Hero Xtreme Sports weighs in at 148 kgs while the rear disc variant is 1 kg heavier. The dimensions are as follows – length 2100 mm, width 780 mm, height 1080 mm while the ground clearance is 160 mm. Other changes to the Hero Xtreme Sports include new body graphics, new headlamp with LED position lights, maintenance free battery and speedometer with side stand indicator. The front uses a 80/100/18 tyre while the rear makes do with a 110/90/18 tyre (tubeless mounted on cast wheels). The specifications are very similar to the regular Xtreme model. It Will Sit Slightly Above From All New CBZ Extreme!

The Xtreme Sports will be one of the many Hero products to be showcased at the 1014 Auto Expo. The 2014 Auto Expo is of great significance for hero Motocorp, as the Indian company is just months away from being completely on its own after the contract with Japanese Honda is terminated. It’s important that hero showcases the best of its technologies and products to instill enough confidence in the Indian customers with regards its technological prowess.Hero Has Shown Us Why He is No 1 in Two-Wheelers Market.
