Tata Motor Finally Waking Up From The Dream And Realizing their Position in Danger Infront Of Maruti, Hyundai & Honda. Now They have Shaken The Automotive Industry With The Storm and the Horizonext Design as No One has Expected This From Tata and They have also Warned their Competitor Here We Come To The Race as Other was busy neglecting Tata.

Tata Motors today unveiled two all-new cars – the classy sedan, ZEST and the sporty, dynamic premium hatchback, BOLT that look to redefine the passenger car market with new design aesthetics, segment-defining drive experience and high-tech Infotainment system.

Zest is a sub 4-metre version of the Manza but gets heavy changes. Like the Bolt, the Zest too gets a plethora of changes but the biggest is the F-Tronic Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) which is the first in the segment in the compact sedan space, as it will be offered with the diesel too. The Tata Bolt and Zest are designed with inputs from Tata Motors’ design studios in Pune, Turin (Italy) and Coventry (UK). The Tata Zest gets Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), projector headlights, LED tail lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels and a new Buzz Blue colour. The DRLs differentiate the Zest from the Bolt.

The Tata Zest is powered by a 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine (Quadrajet in Tata speak) which produces 90 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. The petrol engine is the 1.2-litre Revotron unit which belts out 85 PS and 140 Nm. Both petrol and diesel engines will be offered with F-Tronic automatic gearbox and a 5-speed manual. All the features from the Bolt are offered on the Zest, like 5-inch infotainment system, smartphone integration, touch-screen, phone enabled navigation, etc. The Zest gets a completely enhanced X1 platform.

The cars can stream maps from phone to screen which is a touch-screen panel. It can read out messages too. Quite an advanced infotainment system. It weighs 1106 kgs and has a 44-litre fuel tank. The steering unit is updated and is an EPS wheel with self centring and speed sensitivity. The vehicle runs on 16-inch wheels which is again a segment first as all other compact sedans run on 15-inch rubber. Tata Motor Would Price it Higher side with Higher Feature.

The Tata Bolt will be offered in two engines – 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine (75 BHP, 190 Nm) and 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine (85 PS, 140 Nm). Both engines are turbocharged mills using 5-speed transmissions. Under the three new NEXT initiatives, the company says the design is all new with the signature Tata grille and all new striking colours. The Tata Bolt also gets all new interiors which look modern with quality being excellent. The Tata Bolt also gets a new EPAC steering system which has an active return function and is speed sensitive. It also get a next generation ABS system with cornering stability function.

Tata Motors says- “BOLT– with the name signifying speed, it represents an attitude of winning, and staying ahead. This attitude is embodied in the all-new BOLT in all aspects of design, drive and seamless connect”

The Tata Bolt gets a new Harman Infotainment system with MapmyIndia navigation and a 5-inch touchscreen unit. The system gets a Bluetooth system with voice recognition and text to speech with phone enabled navigation. Tata Motors has roped in Narain Karthikeyan who has helped in developing the dynamics of both the Bolt and Zest. Many global cars have been benchmarked. The Tata Bolt and Tata Zest exactly the same with the only difference in the front being the sedan gets daytime running lights. The Bolt is the first in the segment to feature projector headlights and gets a floating roof spoiler which improves the appearance and also gives the car good aerodynamics.

The Tata Bolt is 3825 mm long, 1685 mm wide and 1550 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2470 mm and weighs 1080 kgs. The car runs on 15-inch tyres and has a 44-litre fuel tank. The Tata Bolt looks fresh although the Vista profile is evident but the design is quite attractive and the small touches are note worthy like the nicely shaped rear spoiler, rear bumper, C-pillar, etc. The front is unmistakably Tata but the rear reminds you of the MINI Cooper. The launch will take place post June and the Tata Bolt will be priced above the Vista Tech with which it will co-exist.

The interiors of both these cars are geared for a premium feel. The driver-focused dashboard architecture carries premium chrome embellishment to render the cockpit with an aura of elegance. The instrument cluster and the central AC vents are connected in a single wing-shaped graphics. At Tata Motors, with ConnectNext, the company will deliver a new level of driving and ownership experience as users from their own smart device, can not only enjoy superior quality of entertainment, control the deliverance of all ergonomics, acoustics and climatic needs, but also get access to outside world seamlessly, with a touch.

Manufactured on a completely enhanced X1 platform, the ZEST and the BOLT mark a strategic shift towards a global portfolio of cars designed to offer high performance and connectivity. These cars will be launched in 2014 in India and subsequently in other countries. Tata Motor can Priced Bolt aggressively to give a tough competition to Beat and Swift. Congratulate and Wish Tata Motor for their HorizonNext design in comment section.
