Nokia has gone across the marks to announce that their latest Nokia 225 is the slimmest and most affordable internet capable phone. Notably, the Nokia 225 Dual SIM has already been listed on the company's India site with no pricing and availability details
The Nokia 225 Single Sim and Nokia 225 Dual SIM come with identical specifications, except that the latter supports dual-SIM functionality. Nokia says it is its slimmest and affordable Internet connected phone. Running on Series 30 operating system, the Nokia 225 might not be your typical smartphone but Nokia says users will be able to browse the Internet and it will also come preloaded with Facebook and Twitter apps.
Though specifications are sketchy at best right now, the Nokia 225 features a 2.8-inch QVGA display, a 2-megapixel rear camera, a microSD card slot and a battery that can last up to 36 days in single-SIM and 27 days in dual-SIM variant in standby mode. Its 1,200mAh battery can work as a music player for 51 hours on the trot or up to 21 hours of talk time.
The Nokia 225's features include a digital clock, recorder, calculator, clock, calendar, converter, alarm clock, reminders, phonebook, alarm clock with ringtones, and flashlight. It also features the company's Nokia Xpress Browser, which now includes Bing search inbuilt.
The Nokia 225 will go on sale later this quarter and will be available in five colors – black, white, green, red and yellow – for approximately Euro 39 or Rs 3,200. It also features a splash proof keypad. However, what we are most interested in knowing is the kind of 3G speed the Nokia 225 will support.
