In Video: Adam Gilchrist's shows the view of Cricket from GoPro Camera at Lord's

Yesterday was a biggest day for Cricket Lovers  an day which never be forgotten as exhibition game that promised to fulfil the fantasies of most cricket-lovers around the world – Sachin Tendulkar’s MCC XI stepped on to the field against Shane Warne’s Rest of the World XI, in a celebration of the bicentennial anniversary of the Lord’s Cricket Ground.

In this Match between the Legends like Sachin, Warne, Lara, Dravid, the Adam Gilchrest was managed to grab the eye balls of viewers with his CameraPro.  Adam Gilchrist, batting for Rest of the World XI (ROW) at Lord’s on Saturday, had a GoPro camera on his helmet which got the attention of all the viewers

Gilchrist, coming out to bat for ROW in the first innings, wore a GoPro camera on his helmet. His reactions after hitting a shot and the response time needed to hit the ball from someone like Shaun Tait, who was not bowling at his full capacity, but was still quick enough to hurry the batsmen, are captured in this video. The GoPro camera has been placed to Record the video and play it later, not for the live telecast during the Match.

At about the size of a couple of matchboxes and GoPro Hero video camera opted with 12Mp Resolution. The camera itself fits into its clear, waterproof polycarbonate case to which the various mounts are attached. This case is unique in that it features a wide-angle, 170-degree lens that fits over the camera’s standard lens. By the way, at f2.8 the camera’s lens is fairly fast, giving good low-light resolution.

The default resolution is 1,280 x 960 pixels at 30 frames per second. Several other settings are also included, most all of which are HD (high definition). Video output is MP4 format. Video storage is via SD card with capacity up to 32GB. I have been using 2GB and 8GB cards, which give about 11 minutes and 90 minutes of video, respectively. A fully charged battery gives me about two hours’ worth of filming time.

Later the video has been posted on Lord cricked Ground official page. Watch as he drives him down the ground and then reacts quickly enough to hit a short ball away into the leg-side. "This is fun," he says, after driving his compatriot down the ground, then adding: "Good cricket all round," after the second ball above.

MCC went on to win the game by seven wickets despite Gilchrist's Rest of the World side posting 293 for seven. Finch played brilliant Knock of 181* against over Yuvraj singh 132 runs.
