Xiaomi Mi 4 is now official. The Chinese smartphone manufacturing company has finally launched its new flagship smartphone Mi 4 as the successor for its previously launched Mi 3. The Mi4’s design makes it clear that Xiaomi is taking aim at the ‘premium’ market currently dominated by Samsung and Apple.
For the first time ever, the company is adding a touch of metal -- SAE 304 stainless steel, to be exact -- to the phone's frame, which is sandwiched between a flat 5-inch 1080p screen and a swappable, slightly curved plastic back cover. There is a metal frame around the device, which has an uncanny resemblance to the Apple iPhone 5S.
The flagship device is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. Also included is 16GB of internal storage and again just Like Mi3 there is no MicroSD card slot. The device will also run Xiaomi’s custom New MIUI-6 operating system – a skinned version of Android that allows for more customization and that removes the Android app drawer in favour of putting all the programs on the home screen (just lke an iPhone).
The flagship device also features a 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3,080mAh battery that the company claims can survive for a day and half on normal usage. It also claims that the battery can be charged up to 60 percent in just an hour.
The Mi 4 will be available for pre-ordering in China as early as July 29th, and you'll also be able to pick up one of the many back covers to suit your taste -- be it bamboo, wood, leather, cloth or even stone textures. There is no words on India Launch. The price of Xiaomi Mi 4 16GB model is RMB 1,999 (US$ 322) and RMB 2,499 (US$ 400) for the 64GB
Along with unveiling its flagship Mi 4, Xiaomi has also announced a wearable device called the Mi Band.
In addition to being a fitness tracker, the Mi Band also works as a proximity unlocker for your Xiaomi smartphone. So if you are holding your Xiaomi smartphone in the same hand as you’re wearing the band, the smartphone will unlock without a password. It boasts IP67 certification, and Xiaomi also claims a 30 day battery life, which is seriously impressive. It will be available in multiple color variants including orange, pink, blue, and green.
It also work as a Sleep-cycle smart alarm helps to track your Sleep hours and wakes you up on the time. It has been prices at $ 13 (Rs 780)
