Another, Chinese handset maker OnePlus is set to officially enter India this December through an e-commerce partner, a route that has been successfully employed by mobile phone manufacturers such as Motorola and Xiaomi to sell their devices in the country. As per the Economic Time report, In a chat with the publication, Carl Pei, director of OnePlus Global, revealed that they were close to launching their only phone in India, and were currently looking at online retail partners. OnePlus will follow a retail model similar to what Motorola and Xiaomi have in India. The company will start by taking preorders for the phone, and then sell the phone via an online retailer.
“India is a super hot market with rapid data growth and this is the right time to enter the market. We are talking to all three leading e-commerce players in India to start our operations,” Pei said. “We hope to finalize our partner this week.”
The company, which is readying for its second round of funding, is estimated to be selling more than a million devices a month globally. After reaching 17 countries with its only device, it is now aiming to gain a foothold in India, among the world's fastest-growing markets, and Malaysia.

To recap on the specifications, the OnePlus One flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display with a pixel density of 401ppi and protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM. Also featured are 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front facing camera, 3,100mAh battery and connectivity options like LTE support. On the software front, it runs on CyanogenMod 11S.
OnePlus on Monday announced its collaboration with JBL, the popular audio company, to introduce JBL E1+ Earphones that have been made exclusively for the OnePlus One smartphone. Available for $39.99, the earphones will be available to buy starting this month - no exact release dates have been mentioned.
The JBL E1+ Earphones feature PureBass technology and high frequency response. The red-coloured earphone with a flat wire design includes a frequency range from 10Hz-22000Hz. It also features an in-line three-button remote with microphone, which lets users answer calls, skip audio tracks and also take images. The JBL E1+ Earphones come with three additional pairs of rubber earplugs of different sizes.
