TVS Apache Sub 250cc bike Details Leaked launching in first half of 2015

As we heading towards New year of age which tends to bring revolution in the technology and as well as changes in the bike just like Bajaj did with its new range of pulsar and looks like it had also opened the eyes of TVS which was previously living in the stone age with the old Rusting Apache Series and admitted to give new life to them, today we introduce to the new Apache series ….

We have always loved the TVS Apache for its sharp handling and rev-eager engines. The TVS Apache RTR 160 and the RTR 180 boast of a good showing on the monthly sales charts and are easily among the most successful products from TVS Motor co. Apache models are fast losing the edge they have over the competition. Hence, Hosur-based motorcycle manufacturer has been busy readying not just an updated Apache RTR 180 but also an all new 200cc variant.

Unlike what was being speculated earlier, the new TVS Apache Series will get more than just a cosmetic makeover and will come with several new features and a higher performance for the 160cc and the 180cc variants. In terms of appearance, the upcoming models will get many cues from the Draken concept.

TVS Draken X21 concept features a full LED headlamp with daytime-running lamps, digital console and neatly sculpted bar-end mirrors. The Draken also sported upside down forks at front, off-set monoshock, an aluminium trellis frame and a protruding exhaust, underpinning below the engine. TVS claims that this is a reverse flow exhaust system. We hope most of these features make it into the production ready TVS Apache 2015

The rumoured TVS-BMW 350cc bike is being developed only by BMW Motorrad and TVS will get involved only for the production of the upcoming bike at its Hosur plant.. Well recently Bmw-Tvs bike spotted on test in Germany and in this week TVS acquired some parts for research purpose, they might giving it shape as per Indian condition.

The upcoming Apache bikes, on the other hand, are developed in-house by TVS and have been internally named as the X16, X18 and the X21. So TVS is busy working on Apache X210cc version fully faired bike. The upcoming 200cc Apache will also get an ABS system. The bikes will also come with new Michelin soft compound tires. Safely expect bits like clip-ons, digital instrument console, split seats, mobile-charging point to be available on both the models. On the mechanical end of the things, both the bikes will get balancers to minimize vibrations.

The competition has changed and is now offering more technology packed bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS Karizma ZMR and oil cooled. So , The TVS has to roll up their socks and move from the air cooled engines and bring something new to attract bike enthuses. TVS Apache models in India are under development at the manufacturer’s test facility in South India and are expected to go on sale in coming months. To be priced upto 1.3 lakhs

However, that’s not all, with the supersport category also witnessing high demand, BMW and TVS are also working on a full faired sports bike which is likely to draw design inspiration from the mother of all litre class bikes, the S1000RR. With three hot products in the sub 500cc segment, BMW is sure to give KTM a run for its money in the global market while TVS will give Bajaj Auto a tough fight in the domestic market. BMW doesn’t have immediate plans to enter in India so the BMW badged bikes won’t be available to us although we can get the TVS version which will be slightly lower on performance but high on the value for money quotient.
