C.E.S Live: Lenovo A6000 (K3) 4G LTE smartphone announced; Flipkart will be Lenovo sales partner in India

Lenovo on Thursday, as expected, launched its affordable Lenovo  A6000 smartphone at the CES 2015. Well it is the Same Device which has been showcased in their mainland China as Lenovo K3. Lenovo has priced A6000 very aggressively in their Homeland China at below $100 to dent Redmi Sale and we expect the same pricing for India.

The Lenovo A6000 features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) clocked at 1.2GHz and 1GB of RAM. The Android 4.4 KitKat-based smartphone runs Vibe UI 2.0 skin on top.

There is 8GB of built-in storage and 32Gb expandable storage. Much like Redmi 2, the Lenovo A6000 also supports 4G LTE connectivity. A Lenovo spokesperson said the A6000 variant showcased at CES 2015 is not compatible with the 2300MHz Band 40 (TDD-LTE) used by India's 4G networks. However, given the company's intention to compete with aforementioned phones, it's likely that the variant launched in India will come with this feature.

If we talked about Camera, It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and that too Sony CMOS Sensor, thus low light images will be cool while also houses a 2-megapixel front camera. It also has the face recognition, hand touch focus, ISO adjustment, exposure, white balance adjustment and other function.

Other Feature are, twin-speakers with Dolby Digital Plus technology and a 2,300mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for 13 hours of talktime and up to 11.5 days on standby mode. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0.

“We think the Indian buyers will want to future-proof themselves for when 4G services become more widespread in country. Buying a smartphone is a big decision involving a sizeable portion of their disposable income and they wouldn’t want to take a chance.” said Colin Giles, the company senior vice president for worldwide sales.

The Lenovo A6000 will be launched in India via exclusive online partner, Flipkart. The Lenovo A6000 is priced at $169, which translates to roughly Rs. 10,500, but Flipkart confirmed the phone will be priced "below Rs. 10,000 in India. It might price at Rs 8000 in India.
