Xiaomi teases a Mysterious Gaming Device to be launched on January 20; We Decode it for you ?

When everybody though things have settled down for Xiaomi after the launch of Mi Note Series,  Xiaomi went ahead and released a new image on its official Weibo page. This time the teaser comes from Xiaomi’s gaming division and points at a new gaming product. This could be something as simple as a new online gaming platform.

As you can see in the image added to the post below, it features three rectangles, with the title — Bigger is Better. Below, you can see the date, 20 January 2015 which is probably the launch date of the device. Given that this image comes from the company’s gaming weibo account.

It has long been rumoured that Xiaomi might launch their own games console in China after the country lifted the ban on home gaming machines last year. So far Xiaomi hare release a game controller and added game support to their smart TV’s and Android set top boxes.

We have sorted few things more likely to be launched on 20 Jan. The first on in our list is OUYA Gaming Console which likely has more chances to see the rising sun on the Launched Date. The teaser in the images shows the puzzle which we likely believe to be as from SmartphoneTabletsSmart TV

Along with the image, the page said the following lines: “不管多大、一举拿下以及玩大的才爽” whose translation comes to “No matter how big it is, can be taken in one hand”. Now, this means the device could be easily handled by one hand as shown the OUYA device in the picture which is quite compatible!

OUYA server is same as Google Playstore and its currently hold more than 1000 games from which mostly are free and some are paid games. Not Only gaming, you can stream shows, movies, and music directly into your living room on Your SmartTv. The Santa Monica, California-based firm has entered into an agreement in 2014 with the Asian smartphone giant Xiaomi in its quest to reach the household of every Chinese house and gain the edge of reaching the largest population of the world.

Second in our list is probably Mi Bluetooth Gaming Controller which is also required for OUYA Gaming Console. The Gaming Controller comes with AAA Battery and Support all the devices from Smartphone→Tablets→Smart TV as shown in the Teaser Image. The Xiaomi Gamepad is very similar to an Xbox controller or 3rd party PC gamepad. The accessory features dual analogue sticks, a direction pad and action button to the right and on the shoulders.

Xiaomi have only shipped the Gamepad to early, lucky, customers in China at a special low price. As usual anyone outside of China will have to wait for the device to go in to full production before resellers are able to offer them for sale. We would like to be proven wrong from Xiaomi, we look forward to see Gaming console as Like Xbox or Playstaion.

China is the world's third biggest gaming market, where revenues grew by more than a third to nearly $14 billion last year. The government's move in January to allow Microsoft, Sony Corp and Nintendo Co to sell consoles has re-kindled interest in gaming hardware.
