Xiaomi Mi Band Coming in Next month in India will work with all Mi devices

As we know that Xiaomi has previously announced the timeline for MIUI v6 for all their Redmi Device incoming moth most probably March. Recently Xiaomi has hinted that it is planning on bringing the Mi Band wearable to India
    “We’re currently testing Mi Band and plan to sell it in India as soon as we complete the update to MIUI 6 for our devices.  Mi Band requires Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) which is supported by Android versions 4.3+. The MIUI 5 build on the Note 3G and Redmi 1S is on Android 4.2.2, so we want to get those devices updated to MIUI 6 before we launch the Mi Band.

    MIUI 6 is in the process of rolling out for Note 4G and Mi 3 right now and we plan to update the Note 3G and Redmi 1S by late March/April. That means that you should see Mi Band launch in March/April” said by Xiaomi India’s lead product manager Jai Mani.

If you are not aware Mi Band is essentially a wrist band that tracks various health related activities. It will monitor daily fitness levels by tracking your walking distance and other physical activities done through the day. It will also calculate and give out amount of calories burned on daily basis.

The Mi Band connects to your smartphone app through Low energy Bluetooth and displays all your fitness data.

The Mi Band is a fitness tracker with IP67 certification and a battery life of up to 30 days. Additionally, it is also a proximity unlocker for your Xiaomi smartphone. So if you are holding your Xiaomi smartphone in the same hand as you’re wearing the band, the smartphone will unlock without a password.

The chances of Mi Band coming to India are all depends upon the MIUI v6 update, essential for supporting of all Redmi devices. It is expected to cost less than Rs. 899 in India
