If you are looking for budget phone with unlimited possibility then you are landed at the right place. Aakash tablet maker Datawind launched its entry level 2G and 3G mobile handsets, priced in range of Rs 1,999-Rs 5,499, offering free data plan under a tie-up with RCom.
The new range of smartphones are powered with free unlimited Internet browsing for a year on Reliance Communications (RCoM) network, Datawind President and CEO Suneet Singh Tuli told PTI.
DataWind has partnered with Reliance Communications, which will allow customers of the new PocketSurfer phones to use free unlimited internet access via its UbiSurfer browser for a year. This free access internet does not include audio/video streaming (Youtube) or local downloads. Customers will be able to use the restricted services by topping-up using plans available in the market but you can still Surf Facebook or Twitter for free.
All three smartphones feature the company’s own web delivery platform, which compresses and accelerates normal delivery of web content by factors of 10x to 30x. The company claims this translates into desktop like web experience even on GPRS/EDGE 2.5G mobile networks.
The phones will be available on Naaptol’s TV and online shopping platforms from March 17th, 2015. The devices will be available thereafter with Sangeetha mobiles, Spice HotSpot Retail and other retail partners from March 24th, 2015.
