After year and Half Later Hero has realizes the importance of its quarter-litre motorcycle or might New Karizma Series failure would be the reason.  The new Hero HX250R was recently spotted, with absolutely no camouflage, and without any body graphics on it.

The Hero HX250R comes with the same design language as seen on the concept model and has been caught testing in a shade of grey with body coloured telescopic front suspension and a contrasting red monoshock setup. Standard in the segment, the bike gets clip-on handlebars and an analog-digital instrument console. It is based on a tubular geodesic frame and gets a tubular swingarm, aluminium footpegs that will cumulatively help achieve a low kerb weight of 136 kgs.

The HX250R will come equipped with a 249cc fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, four-valve motor, which interestingly, has quite the square bore/stroke ratio more akin to a MotoGP motorcycle’s engine. The power output is rated at 31 bhp, with 26 Nm of torque and the engine will come mated to a six-speed transmission. The bike will also get dual channel ABS with combined braking system for effective stopping power.

The bike gets twin headlamps with LED DRLs, wide split seats that look well cushioned and a sporty riding position as seen in the spy images with the Huge tank over it. The good part is Hero HX250R comes with engine Kill Switch as seen on image that mean now on we can see Engine Kill switches in upcoming Hero Bikes.

We expect the ex-showroom prices to be around the Rs 1.5 lakh mark for standard, and approximately Rs 1.7 lakh mark for the ABS version. The launch is schedule for the end of this year or early next year.
