In Indian Market Kawasaki is like ( without Baisakhi ) with its pricey Ninja’s Models but think might change for Kawasaki with its Z250SL ready for the launch in India. Its going to be the cheapest Model till now in the Kawasaki Showrooms near you.

Kawasaki is gearing up to launch its first single-cylinder bike in India, the Z250SL. The Z250, is powered by a 249cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor rated at 28PS of power and 22.6Nm of torque. While its big brother the Z250, is equipped with a 249cc liquid-cooled, “parallel twin” engine capable of delivering 32 PS of power and 21Nm of torque.

While if we Compared to the Z250, the Z250SL is also 20 kgs lighter because it comes with high tensile steel for its trellis frame. The ABS-equipped variant weighs around 150 kgs while the non-ABS trim weighs 2 kgs less.

Bajaj Auto will be incorporating a lot of localization for the bike to keep costs in control and hence parts like handlebars, clutch plates, switches, front and rear suspensions, tyres, wheels, headlights, tail lamps, radiator fans and other such components will be sourced from local vendors.

The engine and engine components would arrive from Thailand but Kawasaki is working on localizing this model to keep costs low.

Kawasaki will also launch the Ninja 250RR Mono in India, the full-faired version of the Z250SL. Kawasaki Z250SL will compete with bikes like the KTM Duke 200 and 390 and the Honda CBR250R. It will be priced around 1.8 Lakhs while the ABS Version could be priced at 2.1 lakhs to be launched at the end of this year! Checkout More Images of Kawasaki Z250SL here
