Xiaomi MIUI 7 Launch Based on Android 5.1 along with New Mi Wi-Fi Nano for $12

Xiaomi has already launched the Redmi Note 2 Device today in the event in China along with MIUI 7.  Xiaomi unveiled MIUI 7, the manufacturer's latest OS. Based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, MIUI 7 brings a host of UI changes, themes, features and a whole new way to receive calls and New way to Experince Xiaomi Devices.

MIUI 7 will feature five official themes, with a "Goddess" theme specifically designed for women. Some of the interesting features that come with MIUI 7 is face recognition in the Gallery which lets you to categorize photos by people. You'll be able to set names and profiles for an individual, giving you a quick overview of all the photos that person is present in.

As always you'll be able to choose from thousands of paid and free themes from the theme showcase. In MIUI 7, you'll be able to set videos for contacts so that every time you get a call, the video starts playing instead of a ringtone.

Xiaomi has also introduced a unique MI Roaming app, which works as a virtual SIM card when you travel. It allows users to buy a data package through Xiaomi for when they travel abroad, meaning you won’t have to switch SIMs.

Xiaomi  claims that since the first release of MIUI in August 2010, it has gone through 249 versions. There are now as many as 150 million MIUI users worldwide in 156 countries/territories. The MIUI 7 will be rolled out via OTA to Mi 2, Mi 2S, Mi 2A, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Note, Redmi, and Redmi Note users tomorrow in China while Global launch to be happen on Aug 19 in New Delhi

Mi Wi-Fi Nano

So you though that’s Enough from Xiaomi. Seriously Not Xiaomi also went on launching a New Device called the Mi Wi-Fi Nano which looks similar to the mini router except for the size . The new router is slightly larger than a credit card and fits in the palm of your hand.

It has two PCB antennas and offers a range of 150m², which Xiaomi claims is stronger and more stable than competing routers that are also bigger in size. The router supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and has a speed of 300Mbps.

Xiaomi claims that the Nano router works for 30 hours when plugged into a 10,000mAh Mi Power Bank. The router is priced at 79 Yuan $12 (Rs 800 approximately) It comes in five color variants – black, white, yellow, blue, and pink. Dont forget to Like our Redmi Note 2 FB page for more update on it.
