Samsung Gear S2 Smartwatch is truly out of this World

Sharing is Awesome!

Samsung  well known
for its innovative innovation whether it is Galaxy Edge Series or its Curved
Display 4K TV and now they are back again with yet another innovative things
that’s looks to be from Star Wars Series, not exactly but likely. At the
Ongoing IFA event Samsung showcased the Samsung Gear S2 Smartwatch which sure
sure like no other Smartwatch as it has its own Wheel of Fortune on it.

The feature that immediately separates the Gear S2 from the
current crop of high-profile smartwatches is the rotating bezel that’s used to
navigate through menus and apps. Samsung’s built the Gear S2’s interface to
take advantage of this wheel, with app selections and menu items often arranged
in a circle around the edge of the display.

This is a handsome and light watch with a beautiful and
bright display. The Gear S2 only has a 1.2-inch screen with AMOLED screen is
recessed slightly underneath the Gorilla Glass covering the front, which
creates a really attractive halo effect as the light emanating from the display
gently bounces off the internal walls of the watch.

The watch is powered by a dual-core 1.0 GHz processor, and
includes 4GB of storage. It’s unclear how much of that space is
user-accessible, but the Gear S2 models are ready to double as portable music
players, thanks to compatibility with the usual MP3, AAC and OGG audio formats.

ambient light sensor and barometer. Samsung says the Gear S2 will muster two to
three days of battery life. If true, that’s far better than Apple Watch, which
often struggles to make it through a single full day

Here comes the saddest part of the S2 Smartwatch is that
Samsung has ditched Google as it is based on Samsung very own Tizen OS that
means its does not support Android wear apps. There are roughly 70 app partners
working on Gear S2 apps currently, with about 50 apps planned for launch — a
far cry from the thousands on Apple Watch and Android Wear.
Until now, Samsung’s smartwatches have been restricted to
pairing with Samsung smartphones, but now Samsung has open up their baricade as
this Smartwatch is compatible with any smartphone running Android 4.4 and above
with 1.56GB RAM.
The Gear S2 is available in two different styles, both 11.4mm thick. The
main model — called simply the Gear S2 — has a modern, minimalist
bent, while the more traditional Gear S2 Classic boasts a black body and
leather band. The third option is a 3G-enabled version of the Gear S2,
which means it’ll be able to make calls without being tethered to a
phone

Samsung has confirmed that the Gear S2 and S2 Classic will go on sale globally in October. The pricing is not yet announced but it has been Rumored to priced at Rs 30,000 ($500)
