Video: TVS~BMW collaboration brings G310R SuperBike into action

TVS and BMW when they collaborate jointly to make something exceptionally good the result can give nightmares to other Company and brings joys to the customer that what happen when BMW revealed BMW G310R. The new BMW G310R, the smallest of the Beemers, has been just unveiled. To be manufactured by TVS Motors in India alongside its rebadged twin.

The new BMW G 310R, this is the first sub-500cc roadster from BMW Motorrad and will be exported to several international markets from India. The TVS-BMW G310R have all the essence of BMW Motorrad. The new G 310 R draws its design inspiration from the BMW Motorrad family such as the litre-class S 1000 R.

The BMW G 301R comes equipped with a large liquid crystal display that is claimed to offers excellent clarity and a wide range of information. Sleak headlight, aggressive side, and dynamic rear, give the BMW G 310 R a very athletic look. The instrument cluster has a large clear liquid crystal display with wide range of information. Colour options on offer are Strato Blue Metallic, Cosmic Black and Pearl White Metallic.

The TVS-BMW G310R is powered by a 313cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve liquid-cooled DOHC engine with fuel injection that is tuned to produce a whopping 34 BHP of power at 9500 RPM and 28 Nm of torque at 7500 RPM, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The power-to-weight ratio is healthy too with the unladen weight of the motorcycle tipping the scale at 158.5 kilograms. The wheelbase stands at 1374 mm. You can touch the Speed Bar upto 144Km/hr with G 310R.

With the ultimate power comes the incredible braking power too, just to stop this Gorgeous Bike at once when the trigger is pulled, Braking performance comes from a 300 mm single disc brake with radially bolted 4-piston fixed caliper at the front and a 240 mm disc with 2-piston floating caliper at the rear. ABS is offered as standard on the roadster while the bike rides on 110/70/17 front and 150/60/17 rear tyres.

The BMW G310R features a 11-litre fuel tank and returns a claimed mileage of 36.05 km/l which is impressive seeing the power in this bike. Other than this, BMW also confirmed that the new G 310 R will come with a range of accessories. This includes heated grips, luggage boxes, 12 V charging point, LED indicators, centre stand and much more.

For Desperate Indian, TVS has already confirmed that this motorcycle will be launched in India in 2016 and will be heavily localized to take control on its Manufacturing cost and keep the Retail price low, we assume to be price close to INR 3lacks ($5000) will be coming in Delhi Auto Expo 2016
