Everything you need to know about YU latest Flagship Device called 'Yutopia'

Yu has successfully launched Yutopia today after months of teasing. Yu Yutopia is Consider to be the first Flagship device and is manufactured entirely in India from the maker of Micromax & YU and will be gearing to take on OnePlus 2 and unreleased Xiaomi Mi 5. Along with Yutopia YU also launched ‘Around YU’ Service which is an integrated platform that is pre-loaded on the Yutopia.

Yu had already revealed that the phone will have a metal build, and it does come with an all-metal unibody build. The phone is 7.2mm thin, and weighs 159 grams which is pretty thick and light weighted. 

The Yutopia flaunts a 5.2-inch WQHD (2560×1440 pixels) IPS display with 565ppi and Corning Concore Glass protection. While the previous rumour has said that the phone might get an AMOLED panel but Yu has gone for an LCD panel, instead. 

It is is powered by a Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The octa-core processor has two quad-core clusters – a quad-core cluster clocked at 2GHz, and the other clocked at 1.5GHz. Yu claims that it is the "most powerful phone in the world", and highlights the fact that it is from India well 10/10 on that note. 

The mesmerizing part of YU Yutopia is the camera department; the smartphone is equipped with a 21-megapixel rear camera from Sony with LED flash, Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) with focusing in 0.2 seconds, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), and HDR. The camera is also capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps and slow motion videos at 120 fps. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel f/2.2 wide-angle selfie camera. Well Yu Yutopia tops the camera department even beat its competitor OnePlus 2.

Yutopia also boasts of a fingerprint sensor -which can be used not only for security purposes but also for clicking a selfie. It’s very low on power consumption, claimed Rahul Sharma at the event. It is running on Cyanogen 12.1, which is layered on top of Android Lollipop 5.1. Cyanogen has confirmed that it will be bringing Android Marshmallow to Yu Yutopia with Cyanogen 13, by next year.

The flagship also features 32GB internal storage which can be further expandable via Micro SD Card. The smartphone also features a 3,000mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough to last an entire day. It also comes with Quick Charge 2.0 support, which can charge the battery from 0-60 percent in only 30 minutes. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

Additionally Yu has partnered with DTS Audio, and the Yutopia will come with Little Birds 
earphones from House of Marley. These earphones have 9.2mm drivers and noise isolation features. Besides, Yu also announced a new app called “Around Yu” – an integrated service app which insure ensures that the user no longer requires multiple apps for different things like shopping, ordering food, booking tickets etc. Around YU service would let you book cabs, flight and check PNR status; railway ticket. The platform can be accessed by swiping right on the Yutopia’s homescreen.

As per pricing it is also quite mesmerizing as it comes for Rs 24,999 ($378). It goes on sale on December 26 exclusively via Amazon India, and pre-bookings start at 2:00PM today.
