Xiaomi had promised Mi 4 and Mi Note will be among the first smartphones to get the MIUI 7 update based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow back in December and now it’s time to fulfil their promise and regarding that Xiaomi has started rolling out the update for the Mi 4.
After Android Marshmallow update roll out for Xiaomi Mi Note, probably the next contender was Xiaomi flagship device Mi 4 but here Mi 4 is one step ahead from Mi Note to received latest Marshmallow version 6.0.1, compared to the Mi Note which is supposed to get Android 6.0.
The update is about 100MB in size. The latest update brings a slew of new features as well as tweaks in the UI to make it much more fluid. The Marshmallow update will bring few new features in latest MIUI 7.1
The update said to bring out the status bar to have global support for all apps, and the file management UI will be made more user-friendly. The new update also brings customized menu with more features. There are some tweaks made to the color reproduction and minor changes in the camera app as well.

The file management UI has been simplified, and there are new controls for the type of USB connection mode you want when you connect up to your PC. Eventually, the main software features will remain the same as those mentioned at the launch of MIUI 7 and MIUI 7.1 while it will surely bring out the most essential upgrades in the battery life of Mi 4.
It also good to know after Mi 4 and Mi Note the next big contender to get Android M update is Xiaomi Mi 3 while the rest of Xiaomi device we don’t have any idea when will they get it. While Globally Stable Android M roll out is still far away but we hope to see it soon.
