Xiaomi Mi 5 spects had recently taken a sharp turn as company's Senior Vice President, Liwan Jiang, has just confirmed that Mi 5 will ship with a 1080p display, not a QHD one as rumours suggest. The company's Senior VP also mentioned ‘Black Screen Technology' which will, presumably, also be a part of the Mi 5.
The ‘Black Screen Technology' could be pointing towards an OLED panel which great contrast, and have deep black colors. This might be shocking to some but it's a very good step from Xiaomi as 2K display will lead to more battery leakage and tends to heat more with SD820 while playing high-end game for long duration and will result in higher AnTuTu scores.
Xiaomi Mi 5 variants will sport 5.2-inch panels with Full HD Display and will be fueled by the Snapdragon 820 SoC, along with an Adreno 530 GPU. The 20-megapixel camera is said to be located on the back for the Mi 5 and an 8-megapixel snapper will be available up front. The 3,600mAh battery will also be a part of this package, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come out of the box with Xiaomi's MIUI 7 OS.
The physical home button will probably also be included with the fingerprint scanner on it. As per the pricing, the Mi 5 with 32GB internal storage to come at Rs 21999 ($335). So what you thing about this move, share your thoughts in the comment section?
