As we know this month is going to be super excited for Xiaomi fans as Xiaomi is hosting an event on May 10 in Beijing, China, where it will be taking wraps off the new Mi Max phablet with 6.4-inch display, the next-gen Mi Band 2 fitness tracker with a display and the revamped MIUI 8 too.

Now, ahead of the official unveiling, photos of the Xiaomi Mi Max phablet have surfaced online. New render pic is showing us the thin metal body and puts the real dimensions of the phone in perspective against a computer keyboard so the 6.4-inch size just looks really massive.

This pic is different from the previous leak. In the new pic you can see clearly no big Home button at all only the classical three capacitative buttons so that would also mean the end of speculations about the front based fingerprint scanner and additional to that this model design based upon MI note not Xiaomi Mi 5.

The frame of the phone is made out of metal and from the antenna lines seen near the bottom of the back cover, it looks like the device will feature a metal body. The leaked photo also reveals the metal frame and SIM or microSD card tray on the top right edge. Just above the screen, you have the front-facing camera module, the earpiece and the proximity and ambient light sensor.

As for the specs, the Xiaomi Max phablet is expected to come in two variants, one with 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM and another with 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM. There should be the hexa-core Snapdragon 650 chipset inside. Also, the screen size is expected to be of 6.4-inches with 1080p resolution. With a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing unit, the phablet is likely to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 8 out-of-the-box. The Mi Max will also be a completely new product line, different from its existing Mi and Redmi devices

As per pricing it is said to be very cheap at around 1299 Yuan (Rs 13,000 [$196]) all we have to wait for mega appealing on May 10 in China.
