Ringing Bells, a little-known company which got sudden stardom after Introducing world-Cheapest Android Smartphone cost Rs 251($4) and which also attracted controversy like a magnet and now today company claimed it will start deliveries of the handset to customers from June 28.
Deliveries will start to customers who have registered for buying the phone, Noida-based company's Director Mohit Goel said. "We will start shipment of Freedom 251 from June 28 to customers who paid for it earlier on COD (cash-on-delivery) basis," he said. Ringing Bells began selling the handset, Freedom251, via its website in February. But the launch of the smartphone swirled into controversy, with some calling it a ponzi scheme.
Goel said that Ringing Bells has a foolproof plan to support the price but did not disclose it. Freedom 251 comes with 1-year warranty and the official Website claims that they have over 650 service centers in India. There will be Extra Rs. 40 Delivery charges for each smartphone.
Well first 30,000 buyers who have registered successfully on the basics of COD will get the handset from June 28 Onwards for rest of you have to wait for Second phase. While its good if they are keeping their promises and delivering to their customers.
