Reliance Jio sets World Record crosses 16 Million subscriber faster than Skype, Facebook & WhatsApp

Reliance Jio has registered & Achieved one of the highest No. of sale ever with that it has Set a new World Record not only faster than other telecom operators, but also faster than Facebook, WhatsApp and Skype.

After starting its commercial operations from September 5, Reliance Jio now claims to have enrolled 16 million customers in 26 days under its ‘Welcome Offer.’

Commenting on the achievement, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman Mr. Mukesh D. Ambani said, “We are delighted and humbled by the overwhelming response across India to the Jio Welcome Offer. Jio is built to empower every Indian with the power of data. We are delighted that people have recognized this and are utilizing our services to the fullest. We are customer-obsessed and committed to improve every day to exceed expectations of our customers.”

At RIL's 42nd annual general meeting, Ambani had said his new telecom venture would aim to acquire 100 million customers "in the shortest possible time and create a new world record". This would translate into a data usage of 250 crore gigabyte per month, he had then said.

To make the enrollment process easier, Reliance Jio has also introduced Aadhaar-based online Jio SIM activation. Available in 3,100 towns and cities, it allows customers to complete the SIM activation process in minutes. It also does away with the need of carrying photographs and other documents. To get a Jio SIM card, one needs to carry the Aaadhar-card and give their fingerprint complete the process. Once the on-boarding process is fully stabilized, the company plans to extend the process across the country.
