Samsung is refreshing its Smartphone line up with new Android Nougat 7.0 update from Galaxy S Series to Note Series. The Samsung Galaxy Nougat release has begun for some of the company’s devices and we expect the roll out to pick up steam as we push deeper into 2017.
If you didn’t found your smartphone in the list don’t disappoint as Samsung could add more devices to its Nougat rollout plans afterward, these are the first handsets and tablets listed:
Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S7 Active – they had already got Android 7.0 update in the U.S., the U.K and China while it said to reach soon other users of the world. Samsung is also expected to release Android N update for Galaxy S7 Active.
Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, S6 Active – The Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, was all found being tested with Android Nougat in the last quarter of 2016. These Devices will get the Android N by the end of Q1 or in Q2 after the launch of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus in April.
Samsung Galaxy A Series – The Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 these devices will be soon getting the Android N upgrade after the S6 Edge Series
Samsung Galaxy Note Series – Galaxy Note 5 also found being tested with Android Nougat in the last quarter of 2016 does it is speculated to get Android N in Q2. Having a powerful processor and decent hardware galaxy Note 4 is also in the List of getting android N 7.0 nougat update
Samsung says it plans to make Nougat available on these devices “within the first half of this year,” but if your phone or tablet isn’t unlocked you’ll have to wait for your carrier to approve and provide the Android 7.0 Nougat update.
