Xiaomi started Rolling out Android Marshmallow upgrade for Redmi Note 3, Here’s How to Update it?


Xiaomi is the most popular and best Selling Smartphone of India this year, but still, users have only one complain and demand it more than anything that’s is Android Marshmallow update. It looks like Xiaomi has finally heard the prayers of its users, the manufacturer is finally starting to roll out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to the phone, albeit in beta form.

Previously, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 already got the MIUI 8 update, but the Android version was the same, now the company has finally started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the smartphone along with the MIUI OTA updates as a nightly build, which Xiaomi calls Beta-Stable release before the final update.


The update is about 1.3GB in size and is available for select users randomly. The changelog of the update is same as the previous update, with some additional bug fixes and optimizations. Xiaomi will push the update to the stable channel. All the Mi Redmi Note 3 users will get it in coming weeks but if you run out of patience you can flash the OTA file to get an early look at Marshmallow on the phone.

  1. First of all download the ROM zip file on your PC and transfer them to your Redmi Note device’s Internal Memory from here- OTA File

  3. Now go to the updater app and select “Choose Download package” .
