[Update] Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 Rumored to launch with Helio P25 SoC not Snapdragon 660 this month

Well, it looks like before the unveiling of Xiaomi Mi 6 you might get to see the another Redmi device making its way out this time it is the successor of Redmi Pro dubbed as “Redmi Pro 2” asper the rumors Xiaomi could launch Redmi Pro 2 at the end of this month.

As per the specs, It could flaunt 5.5 inch OLED Full HD Display with the all-metal body, 2.5D curved glass. The phone is rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC/ MediaTek Helio P25 with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and another version with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

This Time it comes with a 12MP Sony IMX362 single sensor at the rear and below that fingerprint sensor

Other features include 4G LTE, USB Type-C and a large 4500mAh battery that make sure you are connected to your loved once every time

As per the pricing, The 4GB + 64GB version is said to be priced at Rs 16,000 ($231), while the 6GB + 128GB version comes in at Rs 18,000 ($260).

[UPDATE] – The new report claims that the Redmi Pro 2 will stick with the dual rear camera, thus being a true successor to the first Pro which eventually means that’s it will be equipped with two 12 MP sensors on the back.

Furthermore, it will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio P25 and not the SD660. This SoC has an octa-core CPU that consists of four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 2.5GHz and another four that only go up to 1.6GHz. It comes with the ARM Mali-T880MP4 GPU and support for Cat.6 LTE.
