Xiaomi could launch its smallest & cheapest 32-inch Mi TV 4A Smart TV in India for Rs 10,000
Xiaomi recently launched 32-inch Mi TV 4A which is the company’s smallest TV with pocket size price of Rs 10,000. This television is part of the Xiaomi MI TV 4A series the company announced earlier this year in March. It also has more chances to show up on Indian shelves.
Mi TV 4A has a screen resolution of 1366×768 pixels and has a refresh rate of 60Hz. The Mi TV 4A runs a quad-core Cortex-A53 Amlogic T962 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and has Mali-450 MP3 GPU for graphics. The smart TV also has 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory.
It weighs 3.94kg only Even with the base attached to the TV frame that because features a plastic housing which brings its weight notches down. The television has a 178-degree viewing angle and includes two 5W stereo speakers, includes two HDMI, an AV port, an S/PDIF output, DTMB, USB port and a connector.
The TV comes equipped with Xiaomi’s AI-based PatchWall system powered by Android which can recommend content to viewers based on their viewing habits and preferences. It also has AI-based speech recognition system just like in Mi Box.
It seems Xiaomi is finally taking steps towards bringing its televisions to India, Manu Jain, the company’s Managing Director for India, posted a photo with Wang Chuan, co-founder of Xiaomi and its head of Mi TV business. Jain wrote that Chuan was in India and learned about the average TV viewing habits of Indian consumers.
Although the post doesn’t say that the Mi TV is going to come to India anytime soon, it’s a positive sign and after a month Xiomi unveils a 32inch Mi TV which has all the potential to be call as an “India’s MI TV” As per previous reports, the company was facing some delays due to logistical issues. This Mi TV would solve some of the company problems as it is weight only 4Kg and also small in size does it is easy to import its parts and have minimal taxation. It will be only beneficial for Xiaomi when they assemble it in India otherwise importing + GST (18%) will fetch its price beyond Rs 18,000.
“Our focus is not just phones but also on introducing new categories in India…something around TV and the routers etc. For Mi TV to be launched in India, we have to finalize two things – content strategy and logistics & after sales services. We are talking to a few content providers and aggregators. Since Our TV launch is getting delayed, we are looking to launch another product – Mi Box – a device that turns your TV into a smart TV, ” Jain told in the interview.
Xiaomi could also bring the Mi Box 3 which we have reviewed recently here. Previously we have already seen the love of Xiaomi bringing in all the ecosystem products that range below the 10K mark in India and latest addition in that is Mi TV 4A. We hope to see Mi TV at the end of this year in India.
