Reliance 4G VoLTE JioPhone with 2-megapixel camera and GPS support leaked
Reliance Jio has surprised everybody when they announced “Jio Phone” with 4G-capability worth Rs 0. Actually, consumers will be asked to pay Rs 1,500 as a security deposit for the device, which will be refunded after 3 years, as claimed by Mukesh Ambani.
According to 91Mobiles, A document stated to reveal the design as well as the specifications of the phone. The phone is said to feature a 2.4-inch QVWA display and as per reports, it is expected to be powered by Qualcomm or Spreadtrum chipsets with 4GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
At the rear, you have the camera a 2-megapixel camera at the rear and a VGA snapper on the front for video calling and selfies. The phone also has LYF branding at the back.
The JioPhone also supports 4G VoLTE, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi and NFC. The document also suggests support for GPS along with a dedicated mapping app. The phone further supports 22 Indian languages and has a panic button for calling emergency services.
The phone comes with voice-based control feature along with the possibility to view movies on a television by streaming over the Jio network for free and has built-in apps such as Jio TV, Jio Cinema, Jio Music and others. It is also expected to come with WhatsApp support.
The base plan starts for JioPhone at Rs 153 and offers unlimited data and voice calls with a daily cap of 500MB on high speeds. Pre-bookings for the JioPhone went live on August 15. While ultimately you can book the JioPhone through offline/online stores on August 24.
