Here is list of phones getting the early taste of Android Oreo: Is your phone in the list?

Google Android 8.0 Oreo is now official and revealed the Lists OEMs Whose Phones Are Getting the update

Android Oreo

Google has made the highly anticipated version of Android OS official and it will be called Android Oreo. The new platform arrives with a bunch of new features – Here we look at some of its new features.

Better Battery Life Thanks To Background Limits

The first stable build of Android 8.0 Oreo revamps battery usage statistics. The developers will now be confined to using more specific reviewers and the job scheduler. This will effectively ensure that apps wake up in the background more effectively and do their job more efficiently. Oreo is also going to recognize apps that don’t need to be refreshed in the background

Picture-in-Picture Video

The picture-in-picture mode was originally developed for Android TV as a part of Nougat, however, now it’s on phones and tablets too. This is more like MIUI 9 feature but more upgraded and realistic one.

The floating video player is already supported by apps like YouTube, Chrome and VLC and we will see this feature be adapted by other video hosting platforms in the near future. The app needs to have support for PiP video and one can toggle this feature by watching a video in full-screen mode and simply tapping on the home button. This will shrink the video to a floating player and it will continue playing.

Xiaomi is also going to roll out Android Oreo to its 13 Xiaomi phones but dont expect the update rolling out to your Mi devices anytime soon.
