Google’s new Datally app lets you take control of your mobile data usage

Google ‘Datally’ app helps Android users save on mobile data and track their data usage in real time.

Google launched an app “Datally” specially designed to help Android phone users understand & track their Mobile data usage in real time, and not only that users also get personalized recommendations on saving data along with free public Wi-Fi spots available nearby.

It tracks real-time mobile data usage for individual apps, as well as overall usage through hourly, daily, weekly and monthly stats and presents it in Graphically form.

“Mobile data is expensive for many people around the world. And what’s worse, it’s hard to figure out where it all goes. “That’s why we built Datally, an app that helps you to control, save more and do more with your data,” Caesar Sengupta, Vice President, Next Billion Users, Google, said in a blog post.

What eventually does that it lets you control background apps data usage by turning on the Data Saver bubble, and helps you save data by offering personalized recommendations. Google says it help save users up to 30 percent on their data

You can anytime block background data usage and track real-time data usage while using each of the apps “It’s like a speedometer for your data,” Google said. You can download the App from Playstore here
