Xiaomi Redmi 5A launched as a ‘Desh Ka Smartphone’ in India

Xiaomi has launched today ‘Desh ka Smartphone’, which is nothing else other than Redmi 5A which was launched in China in October. Xioami is giving priority to the first five million customers of the Redmi 5A by giving them an Rs 1,000 Discount, for an effective price of Rs 4,999 on mi.com.

The overall design of Redmi 5A is pretty much good, It sports a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core SoC paired with 2GB of RAM along with 16GB of internal storage can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

As per photography, the device is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera of f/2.2 aperture. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel camera of f/2.0 aperture.

A 3,000mAh battery keeps you going with 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. On the software front, the device runs on Android Nougat-based MIUI 9.

The Redmi 5A is priced from Rs 5,999 for the 2GB/16GB variant and Rs 6,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant and will go on sale from December 7.
