How about Your Smartphone Drives your favorite car?
Well, Huawei Mate 10 Pro Smartphone got lots of Horsepower and we aren’t kidding recently it became the world’s first smartphone to drive a car with the help of Kirin 970 chipset that accelerates machine learning tasks and allow a vehicle to detect and avoid obstacles.
The final setup including a special Porsche Panamera model rewired in order to be controllable by Huawei’s latest Android flagship. Obviously, Huawei Mate 10 Pro itself installed on the dashboard but to scan the roads and collect Information the phone uses its hardware attached to other sensors installed in the vehicle in order to make decisions on the go.
Huawei engineers manage to do this in just 5 weeks of hard work, Huawei calls the project “RoadReader” the company claims its custom-built Porsche Panamera isn’t just capable of seeing its environment but can also understand it, being able to distinguish between thousands of various objects.
It’s incredibly great to see Huawei pulled it off with the low-power chip running on a battery and with the two Leica cameras while other Tech giants use specially made chips made by Nvidia, Intel, MobileEye and others.
The RoadReader project will be showcased at Barcelona, Spain-based MWC 2018 scheduled to take place next week. Although the Huawei has put up its technicians behind the Steering, so he can apply brakes if anything goes wrong, but seriously they should not have used an animal to perform these stunts.
