OnePlus 7 will be first 5G compatible Smartphone with U.S Carrier Support

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has revealed through an interview with PC MagOnePlus 7

OnePlus 6 has taken the place of the OnePlus 5T although we don’t know whether the OnePlus 6T would be there or not as the company had claimed earlier this year that the OnePlus 6T will be launched only if it there is enough new technology to offer. But there are leaks present for OnePlus 7 that it could be one of the first 5G smartphones to debut in 2019.

During the Mobile World Congress Shanghai (MWCS) 2018 tech expo, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has revealed through an interview that OnePlus is working with the U.S. carriers as it plans to announce a 5G smartphone next year, possibly the OnePlus 7.

OnePlus 6 is currently available as a SIM-free handset in the US while the market is dominated by carrier support. While 5G is yet to roll out, Most Companies are expected to introduce 5G compatible smartphones in 2019 in partnership with Qualcomm and OnePlus is surely one of them.

Apart from 5G connectivity, OnePlus 7 expected to adopt next-generation technology like notch-less screen and in-display fingerprint reader or even motorized camera. We will have to wait and see till the OnePlus 7 comes out next year.
