Oppo unveils Find X with unique sliding cameras mechanism
Oppo Find X is now official – which takes the future of notch-less phones even further with its pop-up slider and this what the company claims. Oppo unveils a sliding mechanism that pops the whole top of its Find X instead of the only camera tray seen in the recently launched Vivo Nex.
The Oppo Find X Slider also offers a 3D facial scanning system along with the Selfie Camera. The mechanism is motorized and can pop up in half a second. This also helps Oppo Find X entirely achieve the body ratio of 92.25% with the front screen of 6.4” OLED panel (1080p+ resolution) with very narrow bezels and with the minimized chin.
As per the rear design, you get completely clean when the cameras slide back in. So here the mechanized pop-up slider holds important features underneath it. There also no fingerprint reader on board, which means the phone, relies on its 3D facial scanning for secure locking.
The Oppo Find X comes with flagship specs, The phone is powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage.
As per the camera, it has the dual 16 + 20 MP rear cameras, and the 25 MP selfie snapper. The phone gets its power from a fairly big 3,730 mAh with VOOC fast charging for quick top-ups. Its runs on Color OS, a customization of Android 8.1 Oreo.
Oppo says that this is its first phone that will officially arrive to carriers in North America and Europe, and support all the necessary LTE bands of the Snapdragon chipset in the process. The pricing of Oppo find X is equivalent to about $700 in China.
