Sharp re-launched the Aquos S3 with Android One in South Korea, Earlier in March Sharp launched a new smartphone in Taiwan called Sharp Aquos S3 with notch display but shipped with Android 8.0 Oreo pre-installed with Sharp’s proprietary skin, Smile UI, running on top of Google’s operating system.

While the recently launched Korean units are Android One devices and come with stock Android UI. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The Sharp Aquos S3 comes with a glass back body and a 6-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) 18:9 display. It is powered by Snapdragon 630 processor along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal flash storage, could be expanded using a microSD card.




As per the photography, It is equipped with dual rear cameras of one 12-megapixel sensor with an aperture size of f/1.75 and one 13-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens, 2x optical zoom, 6P lens, AI portrait beauty mode. You get a 16Mp front facing the camera with f/2.0 aperture and AI beauty mode specially made for Selfie lovers.

It is backed by a 3,200mAh non-removable battery that also supports 18W Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. It supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM card slot.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, US OTG, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. Along with the Face Unlock feature which scans 1,024 facial points and is capable of unlocking the device in 0.1 seconds & fingerprint sensor on the rear. It seems there is confusion in pricing but according to us the pricing of this device is close to Rs 35,000 ($530) although it’s still not official.
