Xiaomi today has added another selfie-centric Smartphone in the Indian Redmi Y Smartphone category; the company has launched the Redmi Y2 as a successor of Redmi Y1. Xiaomi Redmi Y2 price starts from Rs 9,999, although the pricing could be set more affordable looking at the competitors like Real M1.
The Redmi Y2 comes with a metal unibody design and sports a 5.99-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by way old Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3GB and 4GB RAM variants with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage.
It offered 12MP + 5MP dual cameras set up just like Redmi Note 5 pro on the rear but a 16MP single camera on the front compared to 20MP camera on the Note 5 Pro.
Other features include the triple card slot for adding two nano SIM cards and one MicroSD card. The device is backed by a 3,080mAh non-removable battery and to come with Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9 out of the box, Face Unlock, fingerprint scanner etc.
