Fortnite Mobile might not be available on Google Play Store; List of supported devices

Fortnite on Android may be more difficult to download than any of your favorite Android Games

Fortnite Mobile

Fortnite is soon to be launched in the Android platform to challenge the fate of PUBG, which is the most played an Action game on Android platform. Rumors say it may be exclusive to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9 for first 30 days.

However, a new report suggests Fortnite on Android may be more difficult to download than any of your favorite Android Games that because Fortnite developer Epic Games may avoid the Google Play Store for the release of the game.

First spotted by – XDA Developers who had discovered this info by investigating Elements of the Epic Games website code which includes the instructions on how you can download the game yourself. This isn’t as easy as you download from the Google Playstore instead it’s using an SDK from its website just like you download from the unofficial website.

It means that you’ll have to head to the website on your phone, download the SDK from there, unpack it and install it on your phone.

Fortnite Mobile – A Non-Google Play Store listed App, Why?

Fortnite games has brought the success for the Epic Games, the game has become overnight success for the Epic game just after the launch on iOS platform. The iOS release netted Epic Games $2 million per day while the total mobile revenue reached $150 million since its launching on March 15th.

There’s a catch Fortnite Mobile on iOS is clearly a major source of revenue for Epic Games, but the company loses out on 30% of their profits because of Apple’s App Store rules. Apple takes a 30% cut on all n-app purchases which are consumed in-game and same goes for the Google Playstore and again company will losses out the 30% of their revenue. The good part is Android does not block users from installing applications sourced from outside of the Google Play Store but then iOS users are known to spend more on apps and games than Android users are willing to spend, So it might be not as profitable decision for Fortnite
