Xiaomi Mi A1 spotted with Android 9.0 Pie on GeekBench

Although Xiaomi Mi A1 launched with the stock android instead of MIUI Custom ROM, Xiaomi intention was to provide flawlessly and on time Android Upgrades but Xiaomi failed to provide very quick Android Oreo upgrade to Mi A1 but now it seems Xiaomi is on a right track for the next Android upgrade as Mi A1 model running Android 9.0 Pie has been spotted on GeekBench database.

According to the benchmark, The Mi A1 model running Android Pie score slightly higher than most of the Mi A1 models that have passed through GeekBench. The single core test score is of 932 points while on the multicore test it managed to scores 4470 points.

The On-Test Mi A1 Model has 4GB of RAM and powered by a Snapdragon 625 chipset. The Android 9.0 brings a lot of new features like full-screen gestures, new UI tweaked for full view display, notification pop-up etc. The camera will also be improved after the new Android Pie update.

Right now the Mi Mix 2s is the only Xiaomi model that has received Android 9.0 Pie update but that too on Xiaomi’s custom MIUI 10. The Recent launched Mi A2 still runs upon Android 8.0 Oreo. The Android Pie update for Mi A1 likely to roll out in a couple of months from now before a stable Android Pie ROM finds the Mi A1.
